South Carolina Censorship Group “Moms of Liberty” Succeed in Becoming Everyone’s Mom…and Ban 97 Books from School Libraries

Moms of Liberty started in March and recently succeeded in their fight to control the minds of all children in South Carolina.

Such an approach to academic integrity undermines educational values and threatens the professional autonomy and future of librarians nationwide.

Earlier this week, Moms of Liberty succeeded in their fight against controversial authors that discuss that include race, sexuality, morality, religion, and more in South Carolina.

“South Carolinians are less free today than they were yesterday,” noted Jace Woodrum, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union in South Carolina, highlighting the reduction in academic freedom.
