At ChiEAC, we focus on educational equity, particularly for students who don’t have the generational wealth or built-in networks that elite institutions often cater to. We see firsthand how the myth of meritocracy can place undue pressure on students from working-class and immigrant backgrounds, pushing them into debt without necessarily securing social mobility in return.
